College Station, Texas – March 8, 2017 – Vista College, College Station Campus has announced their plans to partner with Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity and make a substantial donation towards the cost of a local house. In addition, Vista College will provide the family with two scholarships to attend Vista College.
Habitat for Humanity partners with people in local communities and all over the world. They help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own home, alongside volunteers. With support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they
need to build a better life for their families.
The home will be located at 1707 W. Virginia in Bryan. Construction of the home will start on March 25. This is the first time Vista College has partnered with Habitat for Humanity.
“Vista College believes in creating opportunities for the communities we serve, and that goes beyond the classroom,” said Jeff Atkinson, Campus Director, Vista College. “What better way to create an opportunity for someone, than helping him or her build a home? Partnering with Habitat for Humanity is a great way for us to get involved with the local community. Our team is excited to get started!”
